Proverbs

This past month we challenged the boys to read Proverbs one chapter a day just like the adults were. Then I asked them if they had a favorite verse. So far I have 2 responses.

Corin liked Proverbs 6:16-20

Ric liked Proverbs 20:21-24

Check back for more of their favorite Proverbs.

Blizzard 2010

Well now that it is Tuesday and I have had some sleep I can write about Blizzard 2010. Let me see it was...what's the word oh yeah FANTASTIC!

I had so much fun with the guys and I hope they had fun too. Among the things that happened at Blizzard were...

Glow in the dark human bowling
The toilet paper battle
Finding beanstalk
The Mentos challenge
Sledding
No sleep
Ping pong
Basketball
Fort building and demolishing
Raffles
Not much sleep
More sugar than I have seen in a while
Riding dog sleds
A luggage mishap
Etc, etc, etc

The highlight of the weekend for me was tug of war. In all the Blizzards past the 6th grade girls always won tug of war. Well this year history was made. The 5th grade guys beat the 5th grade girls. The 6th grade guys beat the 6th grade girls. After that sweep all you could hear in the gym were screams of joy and the chant of "Men, Men, Men!!!" Then the 5th grade guys beat the 6th grade guys to become champions. They took on the leaders and lost but still retain title of tug of war champs. Way to go guys!

I am (almost) certain I will be back next year. It may take me that long to recover. Anyway thanks to all who went and all those volunteers who made this possible. I will post the pictures below.
